How it works

From walk-in to fitted, in minutes

A bracelet that's too loose or too tight is one of the quickest fixes in watchmaking — it just needs to be done correctly, with the right tools, so the bracelet stays secure and undamaged.

1

Try it on

Put the watch on as you normally would — we look at how it currently sits on your wrist to judge how many links need to come out or go back in.

2

Identify the link type

Bracelets use different mechanisms — pin-and-collar, screw links, or friction pins. We identify the type so the right tool and technique is used, avoiding scratches or damage to the clasp.

3

Remove or add links

Links are carefully removed (or refitted if you've previously taken too many out) until the bracelet sits at the right length.

Typically 5–10 minutes
4

Final fit check

The watch goes back on your wrist for a final check. We adjust further on the spot if it's not quite right — you leave only once the fit is confirmed.

Bracelet types

We work with all common bracelet mechanisms

Not all metal bracelets adjust the same way. Knowing the mechanism in advance isn't necessary — we identify it on the spot — but here's what's typically involved.

Pin and collar links

The most common mechanism on mid-range and luxury bracelets. A pin is pushed out to separate a link, then the remaining links are rejoined.

Screw links

Found on many premium bracelets. Tiny screws hold each link together and are removed with precision screwdrivers to avoid stripping the head.

Friction pins

Common on fashion and budget bracelets. Pins are pushed through with a fitted tool — care is taken not to mar the link's finish.

Micro-adjustment clasps

Some modern bracelets have a built-in clasp with multiple notch positions, allowing fine-tuning without removing any links at all.

Simple pricing, no surprises

Most standard adjustments are completed at our starting price. If your bracelet needs extra links sourced or a more involved repair, we'll always tell you the cost before starting any work.

Bracelet adjustment — FAQ

How much does watch bracelet adjustment cost?
Bracelet adjustment starts from S$10. The exact price depends on bracelet type and the number of links to be removed or added, but most standard adjustments fall within this starting price.

Most bracelet adjustments are done on the spot while you wait, typically within a few minutes, since no parts need to be ordered for standard link removal.

Most metal bracelets with removable links, pins, or screws can be adjusted. Some bracelet designs use a micro-adjustment clasp instead of removable links — we can advise on the best approach once we see the watch.
