What We Service

Current Perpetual calibres, Cal 4130 Daytona, divers, GMT — every Rolex service done in-house.

⚙️
Current Perpetual Calibre Service

Cal 3235, 3230, 3285, 3255 — Rolex's current Perpetual movement generation. Features the Chronergy escapement, Parachrom hairspring, and 70-hour power reserve. We service these movements in-house and regulate to Rolex's specified ±2 sec/day accuracy. All calibres in this family accepted without exception.

Cal 4130 Daytona Chronograph

The Cal 4130 is one of the finest chronograph movements ever produced — Rolex's in-house column-wheel design with vertical clutch, introduced in 2000. Servicing the 4130 requires specific expertise to correctly set the chronograph mechanism and clutch engagement. We handle the Cal 4130 in-house and quote individually based on condition.

🌊
Submariner & Sea-Dweller Diver Service

Submariner is rated 300m; Sea-Dweller to 1220m; Deepsea to 3900m. We replace Triplock or Twinlock crown gaskets and caseback seals as standard, then pressure-test to rated depth after every service. The Triplock crown's three O-ring sealing system is inspected and replaced. Don't dive your Sub or SD without a post-service pressure test.

🧲
GMT-Master II Cal 3285 Service

The GMT-Master II runs on Cal 3285, sharing Rolex's current Perpetual architecture with the added independently adjustable GMT hand. We service the GMT mechanism, verify accurate 24-hour hand function, and regulate to ±2 sec/day. Batman, Pepsi, Rootbeer, and all current GMT references accepted.

🕰️
Vintage Rolex Service

All vintage Rolex references welcome: Submariner 5512/5513, GMT-Master 1675/16750, Daytona 6263/6265, Datejust 1601/16000, and all vintage Oyster Perpetual models. Vintage Rolex movements — Cal 1570, 1575, 1520, 3135 — are highly serviceable and we maintain parts availability through our specialist network. Price on assessment.

Our 10-Step Rolex Servicing Process

Every Rolex goes through the same thorough process — from initial assessment to final pressure test.

01

Initial Assessment

Calibre identified. Chronergy or older escapement noted. Complications catalogued. Movement, Oyster case, crystal, crown, and bracelet condition assessed. Written quote before we open anything.

02

Pre-Service Pressure Test

We test existing water resistance before opening the case — critical for Submariner and Sea-Dweller owners. Tells us the condition of Triplock or Twinlock seals before we open the crown.

03

Movement Disassembly

The movement is fully disassembled — every wheel, pinion, Parachrom hairspring, Chronergy lever, and rotor separated. Cal 4130 chronograph mechanisms catalogued by sub-assembly.

04

Ultrasonic Cleaning

All metal components ultrasonically cleaned in specialist watch cleaning solution. High-frequency sound waves remove dried lubricant and debris from surfaces no tool can reach.

05

Component Inspection

Every part examined under magnification. Chronergy lever and escape wheel condition, pivot wear, jewel condition, and mainspring strength all assessed. Worn or damaged parts replaced.

06

Lubrication & Reassembly

Each component receives the correct lubricant — escapement, gear train, keyless work, and rotor bearing all require different oils and greases. Movement reassembled to Rolex specification.

07

Timing Regulation

Balance wheel regulated on a timing machine across six positions. Rolex specifies ±2 sec/day for current Perpetual calibres — we aim to meet this. Results recorded and shown at collection.

08

Case & Bracelet Cleaning

Oyster case, caseback, and Oyster bracelet ultrasonically cleaned. Polishing available on request — we advise on suitability for your specific reference before proceeding.

09

Gasket Replacement & Reassembly

Triplock or Twinlock crown gaskets and caseback O-ring replaced as standard. Case reassembled with correct torque on the caseback. This restores factory water resistance.

10

Post-Service Pressure Test

Watch pressure-tested to rated depth — 300m for Submariner, 1220m for Sea-Dweller. Result shown to you at collection. If it fails, we fix the cause before return — no exceptions.

Rolex Perpetual Movement — Why It Still Needs Servicing

Rolex's current Perpetual calibres (Cal 3235, 3230, 3285, 3255) are among the most refined mechanical movements in production. The Chronergy escapement delivers 15% greater energy efficiency than a traditional lever escapement. The Parachrom hairspring is resistant to shocks and magnetic fields. The 70-hour power reserve means most owners never run their watch down. All of this is genuine innovation.

But none of it eliminates the need for periodic service. The lubricants in a mechanical movement degrade over time — oils oxidise, greases dry out, and friction increases across bearing surfaces and the gear train. In Singapore's humid climate, this happens faster than in temperate countries. Rolex recommends servicing every 10 years for current calibres; in Singapore, 7–8 years is a safer interval.

The Cal 4130 Daytona — What Makes It Special

Introduced in 2000, the Cal 4130 replaced the Zenith El Primero-based movement that powered the previous Daytona. Rolex designed it entirely in-house: a column-wheel chronograph with a vertical clutch (instead of the traditional horizontal clutch) that eliminates the jump in seconds hand on chronograph engagement. The Cal 4130 runs at 28,800 vph with a 72-hour power reserve and is widely considered one of the finest in-house chronograph movements ever made. Servicing it requires specific expertise — we handle the 4130 in-house and quote based on condition after assessment.

Submariner & Sea-Dweller — The Triplock Crown

The Rolex Submariner uses Triplock crown sealing — three O-rings inside the crown tube that compress against the case tube to form the watertight seal. This system allows the Submariner to achieve 300m water resistance and the Sea-Dweller to reach 1220m. Every time the crown is opened for any reason — including a service — these O-rings are compressed and must be replaced before pressure testing. We replace Triplock and Twinlock gaskets as standard on every service and test to the rated depth.

How Often Should You Service Your Rolex?

Every 7–8 years in Singapore for current-generation Perpetual movements. Older Rolex models (Cal 3135, 1570) benefit from service every 5–7 years. Signs a service is overdue: accuracy drifting beyond ±5 sec/day (Rolex specifies ±2 sec/day), a stiff or sticky crown, the power reserve noticeably shorter, or any moisture under the crystal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Rolex watch servicing in Singapore.

How much does Rolex watch servicing cost in Singapore?

Rolex watch servicing starts from S$450. Standard Perpetual models (Cal 3235, 3230, 3285, 3255) from S$450. Cal 4130 Daytona chronograph quoted after assessment — complication and condition affect the price. Written quote confirmed before any work begins.

How long does Rolex servicing take in Singapore?

Movement overhaul takes 14–21 working days. Standard three-hand and date models (Datejust, Oyster Perpetual, Explorer, Submariner): 14–17 working days. GMT-Master II (Cal 3285): 14–21 working days. Cal 4130 Daytona chronograph: quoted individually, typically 21+ working days.

How often should I service my Rolex?

Every 7–8 years for current Perpetual calibres in Singapore. Rolex recommends 10 years, but Singapore's humidity accelerates lubricant degradation. Signs it needs service: accuracy beyond ±5 sec/day, stiff crown, reduced power reserve, or any moisture under the crystal.

What is the Rolex Chronergy escapement?

Introduced with Cal 3255 and now standard across Cal 3235, 3285, and 3230, the Chronergy escapement uses nickel-phosphorus alloy lever and escape wheel components that are non-magnetic and 15% more energy-efficient than a traditional Swiss lever. This contributes to the 70-hour power reserve in current Rolex models. We verify Chronergy geometry on every reassembly.

Which Rolex calibres can you service?

We service all Rolex calibres: Cal 3235, 3230 (Datejust/OP/Explorer/Sub ND), Cal 3285 (GMT-Master II), Cal 3255 (Day-Date), Cal 4130 (Daytona), Cal 3135/3175/3185 (older models), Cal 1570/1575 (vintage automatic), Cal 4030 (older Daytona), and vintage calibres including Cal 1530, 1560, and 630.

Which Rolex models do you service?

Submariner Date and No-Date, Sea-Dweller, Sea-Dweller Deepsea, GMT-Master II (Batman, Pepsi, Rootbeer, Black), Daytona (Cal 4130), Datejust 36 and 41, Day-Date 36 and 40, Oyster Perpetual, Explorer, Explorer II, Milgauss, Air-King, Cellini, and all vintage Rolex references.

Can you pressure test my Rolex Submariner or Sea-Dweller?

Yes — and we do it as standard after every service. Submariner tested to 300m, Sea-Dweller to 1220m, Deepsea to 3900m. We replace Triplock or Twinlock crown gaskets and caseback O-rings as standard and show you the pressure test result at collection. If it fails, we fix the cause before return at no extra charge.

Are you an authorised Rolex service centre?

No — we are an independent workshop. For watches under warranty, contact Rolex or your authorised dealer. For out-of-warranty watches, independent service delivers professional quality at significantly lower cost with turnaround of 14–21 working days versus 3–6 months at authorised centres.
