Titoni was founded in 1919 in Grenchen, Switzerland by the Schluep family — and it remains family-owned today, now in its 4th generation. While brands like Longines and Hamilton were absorbed into the Swatch Group, Titoni has stayed independent. Every watch is SWISS MADE in Grenchen, and the brand has never outsourced its identity to a conglomerate.

In Singapore, Titoni has a loyal following — the brand has been present here since the 1950s, and many older Singaporeans have sentimental attachments to vintage Titoni pieces passed down through families. These watches deserve proper care.

Movements Used in Titoni Watches

Titoni uses proven Swiss platform movements: ETA 2824-2 and ETA 2892-A2 in most current automatics, Sellita SW200 and SW300 in some references, and Soprod A10 and M100 in their more recent Airmaster Pilot models. All of these are extensively supported — parts are available and any experienced watchmaker should know them. This makes servicing Titoni straightforward and cost-effective compared to brands using proprietary movements.

Vintage Titoni pieces (1950s–1990s) often used AS (Ébauches Bettlach) calibres — robust movements from a Swiss supplier that was eventually absorbed into ETA. Parts for AS calibres are available through specialist networks and most can be fully serviced.

The Seascoper 300 and Seascoper 600 are genuine professional dive watches — rated to 300m and 600m respectively. Servicing a Seascoper correctly means replacing all case gaskets (crown tube, caseback, crystal) and pressure-testing to rated depth after reassembly.
